ROW80

I did some writing after Wednesday's post - I am going to focus today and do some more. I have actually scheduled my whole Sunday with an hour of writing in there!!

Sequel - 1,126.
Dream walking - 76 (it was more brainstorming)

Totals for the whole time:
Sequel are: 8,626
New WIP: 4,1201

I actually need to go look back and see what my original goal was. I know I'm behind so maybe I will reschedule and write for two hours?

Curious to the ROW80 people - where do you look or how do you find agents to Q?

ROW80 and Clockwork Angel giveaway

I had an OK week this week - I missed Wednesday - I was out all day for softball and teaching.
So for this week:
Sequel - 2,500 words
New WIP - 300 :(

Totals for the whole time:
Sequel are: 5,500
New WIP: 4,125

I'm not as far a long as I had hoped to be at this point. My job (though I love teaching) is time consuming. I keep telling myself that when it is summer vacation I will do more writing and make that "my job" for the summer.

Recently, a friend of mine on blogger, Kamol and I paired up and have become a support team for writing. I sent her my relatively polished manuscript and she is giving me feedback. We talk about our struggles, we encourage, we share knowledge and we try to relieve the pressure that we feel. I look forward to her email and appreciate the fact someone else knows how I am feeling. Do you have a group? a friend? or are you a lone wolf in the writing industry and why?

Also, I wanted to spread the word about a contest at Deranged Book Lovers. They are on their 6 month anniversary and are giving away a copy of Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. Become a follower and support this awesome book blogging team!

ROW80 - 4

It's the beginning of the the third week of ROW 80
I did a lot of editing on TOL:R. A story is never really complete and I worked on making sure all the loose ends were tied. I really think I needed a fresh pair of eyes looking at the story. Ever feel that way? That you look and work on the story so much, that it just seems right?

I did work on the sequel to TOL:R a bit. I wrote about 750 words.

My totals right now for my:
sequel are:3,100
New WIP: 3,825

And I'm back!

Hello my friends! I have been on vacation and my stinkin computer wouldn't connect to the stinkin internet at my hotel... talk about withdrawals!!! But in case you were wondering, Daytona was wonderful! My best friend got married and I was in the wedding! Maybe some pictures later!
I did do a bunch of writing and a bunch of reading.

Today is one of my check in days for ROW80 - While I was away I wrote 3,000 words! Yep! 1,200 of my sequel and 1,800 of my new WIP! I also wanted to state one of my new goals for this challenge. Melissa edited/read my book for me, so this week I am going to add in her edits and thoughts to work on making The Owens Legacy: Revelations, more complete.

I did some reading. I knocked out six books! Three romance novels and three young adults. Oh to be able to read for enjoyment all day long. It's a great feeling. I am not going to write reviews for the romance novels but I did want to post their covers and titles. They were:

All great... safely saved in my NOOK for when I need a romantic, quick read. :)

The other three that I tackled were: The Giver (again), Beautiful Darkness, and Heavenly. I am going to post those reviews starting with Heavenly tomorrow, along with the winner of Born at Midnight! Check back tomorrow to see if you are the lucky winner!

ROW80 - 2

Today is Sunday and my second check-in for this writing challenge! My first check-in I did really well. This one...not so hot. The last few days before a break are a bit crazy at school... but I fully intend to make up for it over the next few days and I am going on vacation so I will have plenty of time then!

So - on my sequel - I did 350 words. They are good ones, but that's it for this check...sad. I know.

ROW80 -1

My Round of Words in 80 days (ROW80) has started off well. It could be because I have a student teacher who is awesome and leaves me with little work to take home... Anyway, my goals were to work on two of my WIP. It is just the beginning but on Monday I worked on my brand spanking new novel and got 2,025 words down to the paper. Yesterday I worked on my sequel and got 800 words down. I was distracted by my copy of The City of Fallen Angels...YES JACE I WILL MARRY YOU.

So far so good though, and I am happy ...and now I am off to do my writing for tonight!
