Q. How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen?
I was a teen 8 years ago. How have my reading habits changed? They haven't. I teach high school English so I read YA (and have to for my job) and still really enjoy it. I was a nerd, well, still am, and read on a regular basis. I still get consumed by novels and series and lock myself away until it's over and lament over the fact that it is over...
I do wish there were some more stories that fall into the college age years... anyone else?
“Let’s talk crazy book titles! Highlight one or two (or as many as you like!) titles in your personal collection that have the most interesting titles! If you can’t find any, feel free to find one on the internet!”
I couldn't think of one that was really crazy so I looked on the net and found "If You Want Closure in Your Relationship, Start with Your Legs" by Big Boom --
BAHAHAHAHA Omg I haven't gotten passed the title or the author... Hold I need to laugh some more.... HAHAHAHAHA!
Maybe I should go google the synopsis.
Side note - If you want to be in a fall hop, email me at mf060784 at gmail. I would love to have you involved!

Wow, now that's a title worth mentioning! But it's funny that you haven't been able to get past it or the author's name. :) Thank you for sharing the laughter as it's the best medicine. Happy reading!

Hopping through. Oh my gosh, that is the funniest book title. I'm going to have to look it up.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
Love that title!
ReplyDeleteI wish there were more college-aged stories too. As a college student myself, that's the reason I gravitate toward stories with paranormal/fantasy elements - I'm not a sixteen-year-old in high school, and I'm also not married with kids, so I tend to find a lot of YA and adult contemporary unrelatable. I'd love to see this underrepresented genre grow!

It is so needed. They were talking about having a whole new genre for the college years, but now it seems that the idea kinda died in the water.
ReplyDeleteThis calls for a twitter hashtag, so we can get the publishers to publish it!
