Attack on the bad books: Follow and Tgif

Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?

Extraodrinary by Nancy Welin - I loved the cover. I did not love the book. This book lacked action, was super anti-climatic, and the resolution was like: Duh!

Blogger Confession: What's the last book you could not finish?
(or had a hard time finishing?)

I am pretty good about finishing. I actually get a really guilty conscious if I don't. But sometimes, life gets in the way and I want to be reading, but my mind can't focus on it and then there are sometimes when I just don't connect with the book.

I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore - Busy and couldn't focus

Everwild by Neal Shusterman - busy and couldn't focus

The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury - Painful

1984 by George Orwell - Painful

Several of the Ellen Hopkins - just not my thing

  2. I think my mood has a lot to do with how I feel about a book sometimes. I know that when I;m reading a book I "have" to read - and I see sitting over on the pile a book I really WANT to read -- then sometimes I have a hard time.

  4. Ugh, I hate it when books are like that! Especially when the cover is gorgeous and you think the story will be just as good...

You can see my FF post for this week at the link below-- have a great weekend!

  7. These two questions seem to got together this week. I watched the movie I am number four but didn't read the book. The movie was pretty good.

  8. I also saw the number four movie -- which i thought was good. I thought for a hot moment about reading the other book in the series (the power of six) but maybe i'll wait for that to become a movie...per your blog.

  9. I definitely wouldn't have finished 1984 if I hadn't had to read it for school. And I can't even bring myself to start I Am Number 4 yet :)
