Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie if could never live up to the book?
Tiger's Curse - I am a huge fan of the series, do not get me wrong, I would go see it. I just have it pictured so perfectly in my head that if they (movie gods) don't do it correctly it could shatter it for me. I just see Kelsey and Ren going to get the first object and the world they have to go into is very mythical and surreal that ... I don't know. It makes me nervous. Plus I have them, the characters, pictured in my mind. I love how all the characters look in my head and once the movie comes out, those characters, look like the actors... But I am pretty sure that the movie rights and that process has been started.
I do enjoy picturing books myself. That's why I usually insist on reading the book before seeing the movie. Creating my own visuals is a big part of the reading experience. It's also why I don't like book trailers....

I hate it when you picture things in your head though and then the actors they cast don't fit or the scenes don't live up to your expectations. It's a big let down. ):

Haven't read that yet. Buying the rights doesn't mean it'll ever make it to a movie but it meanst he potential is there. For me, The Chaos Walking trilogy makes me the most nervous.

I only go to see film adaptations if I feel lukewarm about the book. If I'm totally in love, I cling to my own conception of the characters and try to forget that a movie even exists.

Not a fan of film adaptations on the most part - the actors never live up to your expectations. :)

Hopping through. I really need to read Tiger's Curse. I've heard great things about it.

I haven't read Tiger's Curse either, yet, but I definitely plan to. Everyone seems to love it.

I love picturing books in my head as well. It's what makes reading so fun to me. But I love when movies match up with the picture I've already imagined.
